Is there a way to utilize 3 TV tuners each on a different computer easily?

I have several computers around the house. Can I put 1 tuner in each of them then watch live TV in XBMC and use different servers (1 has Clear QAM, 1 has OTA) without reconfiguring the add-on every time?

I believe the XBMC addon (in fact any of the PVR add ons I've seen - not just the NPVR one) is designed to attach to one server at a time. I haven't looked that close, but I think what you want to do is consolidate all the tuners on one machine and then have the XBMC client attach to that. Then you would also have the other computers attach to the main system as clients. I think that will be easier than having three PVR servers.

That's what I have now, but I get buffering on different segments of the network. I have a wired gigabit switch in one room off a wired gigabit router in another room. Strangely, buffering is worse when using my laptop wireless G client on the (server direct to router to wireless side) than from the (server in other room switch to router to wireless). Don't worry about it if that made no sense.

I guess I'll try something else.

I have been meaning to read up on and maybe try the "network recorder" where I understand you have one NPVR server and treat others as networked tuners. http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...rkRecorder

His problem isn't really needing two servers, his network is being routed oddly. Fixing the routing seems like the obvious solution. 802.11g is pretty old tech for reliable video stream at the best of times.
