Thanks Chris, yes the errors are there a lot. Are you using a CEC remote? It concerns me how many times a second you are asking for a refresh

This sounds very similar to what I have been seeing sometimes on my Celeron nettop running OpenElec but didn't look at the thread as it seemed to be RPi related. I think it has only started happening recently possibly after I updated to Kodi and only occasionally. It is definitely related to the "arrow" keys on the remote but cannot remember if I was navigating the menu or skipping. I had assumed I had accidently pressed some other key at the same time which caused the problem. I am still using X-NEWA 2.4.5.

Thanks I will try my RPi2 using CEC to see if I can duplicate this. I might try throttling keys to 2 or 3 screens a second.

The problem I had with the web client on my Celeron box running Openelec where you were sometimes suddenly dumped back to Kodi when using the MCE remote seems to have disappeared. It is difficult to be exact as it didn't happen every day but I suspect it stopped after I upgraded from Openelec 5.0.2.

It's possible since I had to hijack a skin to allow for channel changing. You can kill my skin by editing a file if you want instructions.

it seemed to only happen in v.8 so i thought it may have been something more recently added..
would i lose channel changing if i kill the skin?
but sure, maybe i can come up with a cure...[worth a shot]

Ok in emulate.py find this

Code:
elif self.nextUrl.startswith('/live?channel'):
            isMin = True

and change True to False

yep, that fixed it..Smile skips right away with arrows...thanx..

i'm using it with alsa sound for my bluetooth speaker,and with just standard 'rpi2' overclocking, plays 1080i hi-def mpeg2 fine...
i do have the license, but will try it without, as it seems to allow for the hardware deinterlacing, if not full hardware decode...
