Hi all,

I added 5 channels to the IP config configuration but when I try to watch them with VLC or through NextPVR nothing happens.

These are my logs + the exported channel config. The channels probably only work in Canada though.

I am using the latest version, installed yesterday on Windows 8.1 64 bit.

I checked the logs but couldn't really see if there would be any issues. Anyone has an idea?

Thanks!

Looking at the stream url that's probably an hls m3u8 not mpeg-ts that NextPVR needs. I did try one of them via my Web Radio plugin which uses raw ffmpeg transcoding to mpeg-ts and it looks like it should play for you with the right player

Yep what he said.

Unfortunately there is so many different types of "IPTV". NextPVR's IPTV is only really intended for people only cable companies using TS multicasting over udp, or http streams carrying TS. The stream you're using is HTTP Live, which is a different beast.

Oh I see, I didn't realize that. Because the NPR options dialog jumped to H264, and VLC says it's a H264 MPEG stream I thought I was set Smile

Unfortunately there is a lot of different ways H.264 can be carried. In the case of HTTP Live streams, it's close to what NextPVR works with, but not close enough.

I'll see if I can add support for this in a future release.

That would be awesome! I am using the Kodi IPTV PVR now but I'd like to have recording support.
