First post on this forum, will receive this mini computer next week and will be testing NextPVR server to see how it runs. I have been using tvheadend server running in OpenELEC on my $35 Android stick (MK808B Plus) and that works very well as a stand alone DVR. Has anyone done this yet?

Thee boxes are cheap for sure but I think the Braswell N3150 boxes are a better deal if you want HEVC 4k etc plus audio passthough in OpenElec. For a backend without playback it's a bit expensive. Also I'm assuming that the backend won't be doing heavy comskip or transcoding (Plex Emby servers)

The postman should deliver it tomorrow, then I will find out if it can be a home DVR/PVR solution running NextPVR. I will also be testing the Plex and Emby servers, obviously not all at the same time. I will be using my WD MyCloud 4 terabyte NAS as my recording destination.

Here is my video using my micro PC the Tronsmart Ara X5 Windows 10 TV Box Cherry Trail Z8300. It runs Kodi very well, but has some issues with NextPVR.

Has anyone used a N3700 based box as a NextPVR server? I'm thinking of giving one a go.

I have tried a couple more times to use this box as a NextPVR server and client, but it runs too slow. I am not sure why, but I guess it does not have enough power to run it.
