Hello,

For some channels I use DVBguide to provide me an xmltv file with the epg. In NextPVR, I have set some genre colourings (this was done prior to configuring the xmltv epg source, not sure if that plays a part).

For the channels that get there EPG via xml, there is no genre colouring... Not sure if this is possible (if such info is in the xml file)... Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jörg

The XML file that I use has ... <category lang="en">Comedy</category> ... to provide Genre info.

Does genre colouring work for those channels?

The genre coloring does work with xmltv (assuming it's uses the standard genre format).

If you've only just switched to xmltv, and did the color selections before before switching, you'll probably find you've got slightly different genre names in the xmltv files, and the ones you're wanting are further down the list.

Ok, I'll have to check it out further... It does indeed seem there are more categories in the genre colouring dialog. At the moment I don't have that much time to check it, but I'll try different things (refreshing epg, ).

You can run "nextpvr.exe -emptygenre" to clear out the genre list and start again.
