NextPVR and EventGhost: control api?

I control NPVR through Event Ghost with a Harmony 650 remote and a USB-UIRT IR transmitter/receiver. It is a fairly straight forward process of having EventGost create a keystroke event (for NPVR) when a specific IR signal is received. EvenGhost is not that hard to get started with (much easier than another alternative, Girder) - here is brief intro that walks through the basics:

I looked at Event Ghost once but found it complicated, I use HIP in connection with an USBUIRT and found it very easy to set up. Has worked like clockwork and I can use ANY IR based remote to control NextPVR

Well, I use Kodi wiith NextPVR and the value of the http remote interface is on top of IR, I can control Kodi with a phone or a browser.

Yes, this functionality of kodi is very cool!

One thing that I dislike about Kodi... the meta data scraper... Is there an easy way to prevent it from scraping from online services? It never seems to work well for me and scrapes wrong data (possibly due to translations of movies and using a combination of language settings - British English locale with Dutch keyboard in Polish region)
