Hi all,

I am having problems navigating within the Video Panel.

Please see my posts in wishlist for screens and logs (link below)

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post502868

I have been told that entering a letter, say "v" will take me to "Vikings" then entering another letter ..... say "d" will take me to "Dead Like Me".
These actions fail (for me anyway). Sad

Navigation via the mouse and up / down arrows work Smile

Is this a "feature" or has navigation via letters not been implemented????
Regards,
Mark

I'll be back home in New Zealand in a few days, and can take a look then.

I tried to reproduce this today, but it was working well for me. It'd always go to a video that starts with the letter I pressed, or the next video in alphabetic order if none starting with that letter is found. I tried all the different views in the Videos screen.

Try this scenario ....

I start at the Main Menu ... [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Then click on Videos .... [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Press "D" and end up on "Series - On Break" ..... [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I then Select "Documentries" with the arrow keys ...... [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I then enter the "Documentries" by hitting the "Enter Key" [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Note the number Entries (390 Folders) Smile

From here on its via the arrow keys or the mouse wheel, a very slow process. Cool

In folders (Say "Toons") that contain mp4's and avi's navigation is by "Key".

It would appear that navigation within Folders (say Documentries) containing Sub-Folders or a mix of Sub-Folders and Video files
can only be achieved via "Arrow" keys or "Mouse Wheel". If a Sub-Folder contains only Video Files then navigation can be by letters. Smile

I hope this helps Sub

BTW: Your fetch of artwork does not seem to generate a ???????-catalog.xml file. Please look at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...p-Required

Mark

Is it only this very top level fake directory list, which is really just the list of directories you've added on the Settings->MediaFolders screen? I can see a problem on this screen, but all other folders appear fine. You can fix this by removing them from Settings->MediaFolders, and re-adding them in alphabetic order (or editing your config.xml to sort them in alphabetic order).

Hi Sub,

No it's not only the "top level" but also in SUB Directories / Folders ..... The screen below is a sub folder of Documentries ie. "_DL"

WMC Share \Documentries\_DL\

It is a mixed folder .... contains Folders and Video files.
I have to use the arrow keys or the Mouse Wheel to navigate in here Sad

Hi Sub,

I have done a bit of testing and have made the following observation ...... which could be wrong Big Grin

If you add a Directory / Folder ... say "Documentries" to Media Folders / Video Folders the search function will work providing that there are no video files in the root of the directory and that all sub-directories start with an Alphanumeric Character (or at least no underscores "_")

So I have removed all leading underscores "_" and replaced them with a "0", that way they will still be the top sub-directory Smile

Mark
