Hi Folks,

NPVR is configured to fetch Metadata and Artwork from the internet using all 4 sites listed (I don't have a Schedules Direct subscription tho). I have tried on numerous occasions to set the "Preferred Artwork Language" to English or Default but although the selection stays in the box when selected, exiting and re-entering the Artwork tab results in the language selection being empty. I don't know if this means that the selection has or has not been accepted and retained BUT, Yesterdays Guide refresh resulted in a well known Movie - The Odd Couple" returning a Poster which is clearly Asian in origin and the title bears no resemblance to The Odd Couple - at least not in English anyway. The Fanart appeared to be from the same Asian movie but the banner is correctly sourced from The Odd Couple (1968) movie. see attached.

I have removed the artwork from the Media/Shows folder but refreshing this show keeps returning the incorrect images. Could you check out please.

EDIT: Logs attached Smile
EDIT 2: excerpt from the .xml file provided by EPG Collector
EDIT 3: add poster sourced by EPG Collector for comparison

If you want to supply your database, I can see if anything can be done to improve the match for this particular show.

At the end of the day, you're largely at the mercy of a name search for artwork (unless you're using Schedules Direct). Usually this gives pretty good results, but occasionally you get some fairly random looking matches. In this case it looks like the both called the 'The Odd Couple' and the artwork APIs are returning this one before the real one.

If it's a show you've actually recorded, you can browse to the directory in the Video Library, and hit the 'Metadata' menu option, which will show you the list of all the artwork matches, allowing you to pick one other than the first match.

Hi sub, I haven't recorded it just noticed that it was incorrect. Question... If I turn off Metadata and Artwork in NPVR will it use the info & Artwork provided by EPG Collector? as you can see EPGC sourced the correct image and has included the path in the TVGuide.xml output.

Also, how about the retention of the Artwork language choice?

Database attached...

It's pretty non-standard for xmltv files to supply art work, so NextPVR wont currently look for artwork there. I could update it to use the artwork from there, but unfortunately it'd only get that single picture, rather than the selection you'd normally get with artwork downloaded, so probably not worth it

I can check this out, but with Christmas looming I'm probably not gonna have time in the next couple of days,
