I've noticed that recordings do not start automatically if their scheduling window begins before booting the PC.

I have a news program scheduled to record from 6am - 9am daily, which usually works nicely - if the PC is on first. But, i often don't wake to turn the PC on in time. When I finally do, the already late recording does not automatically begin. It will continue to be delayed until I first delete an existing recording.

While this is not a major issue, it is a frequent annoyance. So, I was wondering if maybe there is a simple/quick fix around?

Instead of turning your PC off, have you tried putting it to sleep or standby?

You need to upload your logs to diagnose problems like this.

I recorded "Nightline" last night (actually this am) after which my PC auto-shuts-down.

"Fox and Friends" is scheduled to record daily at 6:00am. I booted the PC at 7:36am. It is now 8:00am and the recording has not started. (Zips-1 attached)

After I watched the "Nightline" episode, I then deleted it (around 8:00am), and seconds later the scheduled recording of "Fox & Friends" started to record. (Zips-2 attached)

I am seeing you are still having the same NextPVR logic error handling the slow startup of the Ceton's we talked about here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-recording Is your service still running with delayed start?

Yes, Martin, it is still at Automatic(delayed start).

That problem, as explained to me by Sub, was because I was limiting the number of recordings to one. After I reset it to record two, it was resolved - sort-of. So, it is still set to record two episodes. I might up that to three today.

The reason for limiting the number of recordings is because we often go on extended trips or cruises (28 days to Bora Bora). While away, I need to limit the number of recordings, as I don't want to accumulate that many multiples. And, I don't want to cancel all recordings while away, by turning it off, as I want specific programs recorded in any case.

It would be much better, if I had a "priority" to set, and a means to record by priority. Priority-1 = always record, and Priority-2 = record only when in mode-2 - or something like that. That would allow me to again set it for a single daily recording.

Thanks, Martin, for your prompt attention.

There still is a Ceton error on starup that sub can probably fix to avoid the restart issue in this thread Your problem might be related to this guys http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post511414 Maybe that batch file solution he worked on would help you. Too bad he didn't upload logs.
