How to Fast forward or skip when watching a recording in a browser over a LAN

Hi. I thought I would try and watch a previously recorded show over the Ethernet LAN in my house from another PC. It plays ok but I cant figure out how to Fast forward or skip forward or backward. I can pause the recording and then restart it but the other commands elude me.

I have tried from a windows 10 PC with Edge and Firefox and also from Android 6.0 with Chrome on a smartphone. What have I missed?

You can't navigate recordings from a browser, you need to use the native NextPVR client or Kodi for that.
