What causes NPVR WEB "Manage Recordings" link to break?

I've done two installs of NPVR and, eventually, the "Manage Recordings" link in the NEWA web interface always breaks. I get a Server Error/Runtime Error and it doesn't work until I reinstall NPVR. Everything else in the web interface works ok.

That is the same Recording Directory problem I explained in another. Anything that reads those recurring recordings will fail.
