Hi All,

I'm having problems installing Hauppauge Win Tv 8 (wintv8setup_35068). It won't go past the driver install
I (used to) use WinTv8 to record from my STB.

Can NextPVR record Component Video/audio from a Hauppauge HVR-2210 (I think it's the correct model)?

System AMD 64Bit Windoze 10 64Bit Pro, HVR-2210 & 2200.
The 2210 is fed via cables plugged into the rear of the card (Hauppauge adapter).

I hope someone can help Big Grin
Regards,
Mark

From the analog side of this card, NextPVR can record from 'composite' or 'svideo'. I'm aware of a 'component' cable that is available in Australia - but this device is only capable of standard def analog capture, so you're not really going to get any advantage with component over composite/svideo.

For using the analog side of this device you need WinTV (or SoftPVR) to be installed.

Hi Sub,

Thanks for that.

I managed to get WinTV8 installed (another complete rebuild of Win10 64)...

Is there a way of getting NextPVR to record the component input rather than use WinTV? .... every thing in 1 placeSmile

The 2210 came with the cables you mentioned and you are right SD Analog recordings only (720x576) ... at 16:9 if you have HVR-22xx-Force16x9.reg.

SD recording is good enough for SD Foxtel Smile
Regards,
Mark

NextPVR should be able to record from the analog side of the tuner after the SoftPVR component of WinTV is installed. You will have installed SoftPVR when you installed WinTV so the analog side of your card should be visible in NextPVR Settings --> Devices.
