It may just be a coincidence in timing, but since this issue came up when I updated to v4.0.4, I'm wondering if there is a way I could get my hands on the previous release (I believe i had v3.9.2)? If nothing else, it might at least rule out a problem related to v4.0.4. I have run "SFC /scannow" and found no corrupted files. Short of FDisking the drive and starting from scratch (obviously time consuming), I don't know what else to do at this point.

Yes. same issue.. It works. then shows in systray but everything stops working. I have to manyally restart then it works, then same a few channel changes later. Something is seriously causing the app to crash and close without error

Post the logs from immediately after the problem and we'll look.

BTW, I believe I found the cause of the problem, though "cause" might be overstating things. For the last couple years I have used BitDefender for my anti-malware. I got fed up with their poor tech support so when it was time to renew a few weeks ago, I switched to a different product. And... no more daily crashes of NextPVR. There were no reports in Bitdefender's logs or other indications that it was involved. But apparently something changed, whether it was one of their updates or an update by NextPVR, but somehow it appears they could no longer happily co-exist.

I'm happy that NextPVR is working reliably again for me. I just thought I'd let you know in case it is helpful to you or others.
