Yep, it's certainly fixed the example I provided to you (as I am sure you know!). I'd recommend others having similar problems (wrong program length showing in timeline) to test drive this version in order to provide Sub with further feedback.

Many tx for the swift fix Sub, appreciated.

I installed it here to test. One thing I noticed right away is that the annoying 2-5 seconds when playback begins and the sound is out of sync, seems to be gone now. Smile

That's very annoying as I still get it...!
When I do a long skip (about 70secs iirc), audio starts about 0.5-1sec before video (as with legacy renderer) and then several frames of slow-mo/stutter before it settles down. It happens about on about 80% of all the skips that I do and for sure it would be nice to fix this if it were possible.
The decoder doesn't seem to make any difference to this behaviour (i tried LAV, MS and PDVD13).

I also see similar things on a lot of the skips....i.e. audio starts straight after the skip but video stutters till it catches up. Sometimes the video freezes after the skip but audio continues. You can fix that by a short skip back. I also find that if you try pause then play when the video is frozen the play doesn't always work (i.e. sound and video stay paused) and you have to stop the playback and use the resume.

Apart from these niggles, generally playback is well behaved.

I'll try the timeline fix (updated NPVRTSReader4) once I've got a new recording that displays the problem.

I should add all the recordings are HD so generally 5-10Gb in size

I've just spent a bit of time today trying to reproduce these skipping issues, but not seeing it here. Maybe 1 in 20 skips has a short stutter.

Can one of you guys supply a UK recording that exhibits these problems when skipping? There is quite a bit of variety of encoding and timing in different streams, and there may be something in your UK streams that make them a bit more prone to this type of problem.

I can confirm that having finally had another recording with a bad timeline, I replaced the TSReader4 with the one in this thread and the timeline problem is fixed.
