Problem importing recordings

Hi all,
I am a recent convert to NextPVR from WMC. I want to bring all my old WMC recordings into the Ready Recordings list and discovered VidImport. I tried it on one folder of recordings and the recordings showed up OK but I noticed that the data was fairly generic so decided to manually update the XML file and re-import it. I did not want to risk deleting the recordings so I renamed the folder and the recordings disappeared from the Ready list. I then renamed the folder back to it's original name and re-imported. NextPVR reported "6 recordings imported successfully" but they are not in the list. Any thoughts/suggestions as to how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks.

NextPVR by default automatically cleans out recordings when they aren't found so the rename was a bad idea. Not sure about VidImport though it user supported and hasn't been updateed for along time.

The supported method is to restore from one of the files in recording-backup.xml but this file does get overwrritten daily with EPG updates so you need to do it quickly.

Thanks Martin. I found a comment somewhere that said VidImport created its .xml files in an old format so I tried creating a .xml file manually based on the entries in recording-backup.xml and they seemed to import OK. I also discovered that if I needed to re-import, I could "Forget" a recording, take a back-up of the video file, delete the recording, restore the file from the back-up, correct the .XML data and re-import.
Long-winded but, when I have created and imported the .xml files, I will be able to access all my recordings from a single screen.
