The buffer file name generation was slightly different in these two locations in the app. I checked, and found the version that is sent to Kodi doesn't handle the | character. They're kodi version has been updated for the next build. For now he'll just have to rename that channel to get rid of the | character.

Bingo!
The "|" sign was the guilty guy. I renamed the channel name, and now both Kodi and web browser are working like a charm! Well spotted - as a soon-to-be developer I should have thought about it myself.
Should I report this as a bug? Because of the now working web browser client, I guess it's not directly a Kodi bug?

The audio issue has not been solved though, so you were right about the coincidence. But I'm not going to use NextPVR as a client anyway, so no problem.
Both audio channels are handled very well in Kodi, so NextPVR (or my decoders?) still suffers from this.

Thanks for the help and quick replies.

It's already fixed for the next build of the app.

Yeah, just a coincidence. Not the same issue in Kodi. There have been a couple of updated NPVRTSReader.ax files posted here since the last release was packaged up. One of those may fix it (since I remember there was an AC3 bug fixed in one of these).
