NPVR On Demand Not showing up in Kodi

I am running Kodi 17.6 on a Lenovo mini tower computer with tons of memory and storage space. I have installed NextPVR (the latest version) and imported channels from Epicstream IPTV links. It imports more than 2600 channels, but in the Guide in NPVR, it only shows 672 channels. However, the missing channels I can find behind the ON Demand menu item and they appear to work.
My issue is that these missing channels are not showing up in Kodi when I configure NPVR in Kodi.
I am probably missing something but I could not find another post related to this, so please help. Thank you.

On the Settings->Clients screen, there is a "send VOD groups" checkbox.

Well that worked, but only for about 30 seconds. After turning that on, when I launched Kodi, as its going through "PVR Manager is starting up" suddenly Kodi closed and I was back to my desktop. I know Kodi is not in your area of responsibility but any ideas what happened there and how to fix that? When I deselect the button to "send VOD ...", everything works fine again except for the missing channels. Thanks.

Kodi will often crash if it gets overwhelmed by a massive amount of channels, and depending on your provider, the VOD channels can add hundreds and hundreds of channels to your EPG.
