EPG guide overlay

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to have the EPG guide overlay live tv?

You can press F1 to view the guide in live tv.

map your remotes tvguide button to F1 or if you use a MCE remote or hauppauge remote just hit the tvguide button.
it works in livetv/video playback just like as in menus.

I seem to only be able to find just the Hauppauge 45 button remote on line without the IR receiver. Will any IR receiver work? And I take it that it will not come with the IR suite. Where can I find the IR suite?
What eqpt/software would you suggest?

I am assuming that you do not have a remote ... I use this ... http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/webstore2...mckit.html ... It includes the remote and the IR receiver and works fine with Windows 10.

I am using the Ortek Windows 7 Vista XP Media Center MCE PC Remote Control and Infrared Receive With this remote can I program it to do all the commands like described in the wiki under the hauppauge 45 button remote programming?

Ever since I got one, I hugely prefer my Harmony 650 universal remote over the Hauppauge or MCE-only remotes that I used to use. It controls NPVR and also the TV and sound bar. No more pile-of-remotes in the living room.
