G'day...Well after a few days of failed attempts trying to get NPVR (client) to communicate with the NPVR (server), I finally threw in the towel and opted for something more in my wheelhouse. I thought I had it worked out once and prematurely celebrated only to discover the next day that the connection was lost again. All this was done using a workgroup environment with 2 W10-x64 boxes. So, I decided to go the domain route because that environment would possibly give me more control over what I was trying to accomplish, that being establishing a communication between the 2 boxes.
So, let me first describe the new environment:
Client â W10 Pro 1803 64bit OS, NPVR 4.2.2.180623
Server â W Server 2016 64bit OS, NPVR 4.2.2.180623
The 1803 was a massive headache as it kept throwing me into lala land so many times as I tried to get the right setup but no joy. I tried all of the fixes I could find but none worked for me. So here is what worked for me in the new environment as the table below indicates. Hope this helps somebody else out even if itâs not Domain based. After setup I ran DCDiag test and everything passed.
Here is my old thread so u can read in on what was attempted if you want https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...PVR-server
