My old DVR finally gave up the ghost, I think the board went south but it was a good excuse to get some much more power efficient hardware in place. My dilemma now is how to cut commercials from a bunch of movies that were recorded before I re-encode from TS over to MP4 files. I would like to have them cut and removed, so that when they are played in Plex there is no commercials at all. I have the most recent version of paid comskip, and I've tried videoredo but can't seem to figure it out. I've tried comclean but it doesn't seem to want to touch TS files or MP4's.
I'd like to do this in batch/automated mode so I don't have to manually pull commercials, etc. I've read that videoredo can use the comskip files, and it can call videoredo from the batch file. I just can't seem to figure it out and I'm hoping someone much smarter than myself has been through this before.
I'm fine running them through comskip again if needed. I'm even ok running them all through handbrake prior if needed.
Any help is appreciated so, thank you in advance!
