6 tuners, multiple recordings issue

It does not play on my Windows 7 pc either. Someone mentioned earlier does it play in VLC. I downloaded VLC and it doesn’t there either. I’ll figure out how to get the log files from Kodi and post them.

Try those LAV decoders, to see if it resolves the issue of playback in NextPVR on Windows, or in Windows Media Player.

That file played fine here, so there is nothing wrong with the recordings NextPVR is making - so if Kodi isn't playing it, it's sounding like Kodi issue rather than NextPVR. Like Martin, I tried playing the file in Kodi 18.1, and it played fine for me.

Kodi wasn't able to decode that file was that the Blacklist file? It plays fine here with v18.1

Yes that was the blacklist. But that was my mistake. That blacklist recording does work for me. I’ll post the expodition unknown file. I’ll do that now.

The reason this file can't be played is because the audio and video streams are encrypted. You can only use copy-freely channels in NextPVR (and every other 3rd party application). You can't use the copy-protected channels (marked copy-never or copy-once).

Ok thank you. How come other recordings from this channel play fine? Same thing with the moonshiners show. It’s on the discovery channel. And same as the other show some recordings on that channel work fine.

All I can tell you is that show was encrypted. I'd guess either the cable card is not doing it's job in one of your two HDHomeRun's (like not authorized or bound or something), or your cable company is selectively protecting certain shows.
