Hello,

I've been having an issue as of late, where no matter where I am, wired or wireless, I always seem to have some sort of live TV buffering issue with NextPVR outside of my home network where channels will load, but then just constantly buffer. This is happening in both Kodi and VLC, so this is why I think it's on the backend and not so much the software I have been using for viewing.

I've attached my logs as well. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

It's streaming the full bitrate of the television broadcast between NextPVR and Kodi/VLC. It's unlikely your internet connection would be keep up with the sustained rate required for that.

The NextPVR iOS/Android apps can do transcoded tv, which is a much lower bitrate, and more likely to work for you over the internet.

Is there any way to lower the bitrate throughput for Live TV? It was working fine as is a couple of months ago, so I'm not sure what could have changed since then.

Not with Kodi.

You channels might have upped their bitrate, or your internet is a little slower than it was (more network bottlenecks etc).

Guess I could provide a bit of an update to this thread. My network cable (a ~10-year-old Cat6 one) must have been bad, as I changed it out with a Cat5e cable, and all started to work again.
