UNC path for recordings

I miss the option to use an UNC path to the recordings location.
That's important to host the recordings on a different system and
is possible with the old Version 4.

It should still is possible (on Windows) if you edit config.xml

You should just be able to go to the Settings->General screen, and type in the unc path you want to use. ie, \\server\share

HOWEVER....the biggest source of problems with UNC paths in the past is the user needs make sure that the NextPVR Service will have the required permissions to be able to write to that path, or they need to change the service to run as their user account.

Sure, you should know what you are doing.
I have this exact situation. I changed the NextPVR Service from Sytem to a different account which has the required permissions.
This setup situation should be documented.
