Currently NextPVR names files of recordings without season/episode data as such "title_yyyymmdd_xxxxyyyy.ts." Plex does not recognize these files and if you would just change the date format to comply to Plex standards as below, or make it an option, that would be a BIG help.

The date can use either the YYYY-MM-DD or DD-MM-YYYY formats and can use different separators:
  • Dashes (2011-11-15)
  • Periods (2011.11.15)
  • Spaces (2011 11 15)

What do they do accept with the time part?

Give me a complete example file name they would accept.

For Kodi I have posted an advanced setting to accept NextPVR format. Perhaps Plex has the same option. Also consider an EPG source like Schedules Direct to get rich metadata in NextPVR.

That is for TV show library scanning not the addon With crappy EPG source Kodi doesn't recognize the NextPVR format NAME_YYMMDD_HHMMHHMM.ts files so they aren't scanned in. I posted this setting recently https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid530774

I've played files with this style file name for a long time using Plex regularly through ROKU. I've never had a problem. What errors are reported?

They only care about the date format and appear to ignore the time part.

Example:

Survivor_2020_04_24_20002030.ts or Survivor_2020_24_04_20002030.ts

You just need to add a separator, space, period, or dash, or the option to add one, between the date elements with no other changes for it to work with Plex.
