Hi,

Found an issue regarding channel grouping today. Not sure if it's the same issue described in this thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...nnel+group since sub said the issue in the thread had been fixed by next release but I am running the latest release 5.0.6 already.

the issue is, I have created several groups and picked channels to each group, then I want to delete the channels from one of the EXTRA devices and re-scan the device (to update a change in command line arguments), however after the delete/re-scan is done, all the grouping information is gone, every group is empty except "All Channels" group. the issue can be easily reproduced by performing the steps above. Hopefully a fix will be produced in the next release.

Thanks.

I think I found where the bug is. On the device channel list page, if you click the "Trash Can" button without selecting any channel, then it will remove all channels under this device but also remove all grouping info (all data from CHANNEL_GROUP table), but if you select at least one channel then click the "Trash Can", it will not delete the grouping info. Hope this helps the troubleshooting.

What trash can icon are you referring to - top right of the channel list, or on the channel group name

No, not in channel menu, go to "Devices", then select one of the devices (it's an "EXTRA" device in my case but I think device type doesn't matter), then you would see a list of channels under the selected device along with a trash can icon at the top right.

Ok. I'm pretty sure this is fixed for the next build.
