V5 and decryption of channels

Hi!

New to the forum but have been running NPVR v4 for a couple of years, great software so kudos to the devs! 

I was glad to see that there's finally a version that runs on Linux but I can't seem to get acamd to work when I installed V5 along V4 on the same Windows server that I'm running today, I copied all the mdapi files so it was the same as V4 but is there anything else to it on V5? or is it just not supported? In that case it's very sad since that's a big dealbreaker :/

Sorry, there is no direct support for soft cams etc in NextPVR v5. My cable company has moved to an IPTV based system, so I no longer have access to encrypted DVB channels, so I no longer have way to test this stuff.

You might be able to get it working using a minisatip server though. This will expose the DVB channels to NextPVR over SAT>IP, and will take of using OSCAM stuff, before the streams are handed to NextPVR
