I like the new scheduling setup it's much easier than in the past.  I setup a search with a specific title, and a subtitle and clicked Create Recording.  The only issue is that the show is on multiple channels at different times and always has an HD and non-HD version at the same time. Would it be possible to add an option when creating the recording to select a channel range or a list of channels that it would search?

Example is recording a football game.  The title is always NFL Football, subtitle has the team name, and some weeks it is on Fox sports, some on CBS, some on something else, but always has the HD and non-HD at the same time.  I'd like to record it on whatever channel at whatever time, but only on the HD channels.

I could make multiple recording schedules, one for each channel, but I'm still working on figuring out what channels will have it throughout the season.

Thanks as always for a great product and I appreciate all your work on it.

When the advanced search comes up add.

and channel_oid in (8038, 8046, 8065) and first_run = 'Y'

Using a sqlite viewer to find out those channel oid.

My preference goes back to a wishlist item I made that would allow designating channels and tuners as HD and giving an option preference for quality. With IPTV that might even be more important so that reliability of the tuner is also factored. There is no good solution for merged channels.

As a sort of work-around, rather than using specific channel_oid's, my "Record Premiers" recurring recording uses "channel_oid in (select channel_oid from channel_group where group_oid=2)" where the channel group with oid 2 is my "favorites" channels. You could then setup an "HD Channels" and an "SD Channels" groups to use. If you wanted to get recordings from either SD channels or HD channels with preference for the HD version, you'd need 2 recurring recording rules where one with the higher priority would limit to the HD channels. Then when the one with the SD channels was processed if the show was already scheduled on an HD channel, it would be skipped.

You still need a group_oid so you still need a database but this does seem safer because I don't think you can edit and advanced rule right now.

That works.  A drop-down or box with options would be nice, but this is a good solution.

Thank you for the help.
