I am running Windows Insider Dev 20206. The nextpvrserver.exe process crashes.

Are you running a VPN, firewall or a/v internet suite which might be getting in the way create ports on a local LAN?

Also are you running the exe or the service?

Windows Defender. I can double check the firewall again.  The service crashes, and running the exe crashes the same.  The app used to work fine, maybe there are breaking changes in the latest version of .Net core?

I expect it is a local issue. You can rerun installservice.bat as admin to reset the firewall.

I think the problem is that later Windows updates are blocking many ports, including port 8866.  Maybe because I have Hyper-V installed.

See https://superuser.com/questions/1486417/...t-in-a-way

I switched to port 30000 and it now works.

You can disable hyper-v and exclude 8866 tcp for ipv4/6 and 16891 ipv4 udp There is no guarantee that 30000 won't be randomly grabbed.
