Device Status on Web App

I would like to suggest that the device status shown with Settings->Device Status show the same information that double-clicking the tray icon does. As of now, the tray icon shows the device status whether or not a device is in use. Not so in Web App Settings which displays a "No Active Devices" message.

Hey, sub. I'm thinking that you may be thinking about the change to the tray (and the gadget) to only include tuners which actually have channels defined.

However, jcole998 was referring to the web interface pop-up for Device Status:

which lists all of my tuners with channels defined even if they aren't currently being used.

If I may try to justify my request:

I use the V5 web app whenever I need to check the status of my devices and I'm not at my desktop. This use to be provided for in the V4 "client" app but there isn't one, so far. I can easily check the status of the LAN-based devices like HomeRun but not the extra devices. At any moment, I can decide if there is a device I can use to view a program or start another recording.

I hope you'll give it another look.

You can install the tray or gadget on networked devices too.

I thought about this a bit more an sub's way seems more logical. Seeing a big list of devices is there on the Device page, this give a quick look that takes no brain power. Have it listed doesn't mean the device is going to work. You wouldn't want to see 32 empty slots for an IPTV device as an example

Perhaps the button should be Recording Status

I tried using the tray on my laptop but it wouldn't allow the laptop to sleep. I'm waiting for that to be fixed. Unless it already is?

I replaced NShared.dll on the server and NPVRTray.exe on the laptop(client). It seems that the thread with the NShared.dll module is still unresolved.
