Martin

I start and stop from the web interface, can't figure out the used run command from there.

My knowledge of docker is close to zero so I will look into this first. And try.....

Thanks.

It doesn't look like NextPVR is transcoding hevc but there is an odd message repeated in the log that sub will need to explain.

I haven't come across on of these services using HEVC yet.

GZTired, can you PM me info about where you got the subscription? I might need to check it out myself to see how NextPVR behaves.

I eventually managed to get a service where I could try HEVC streams.

I've only lightly tested it at this stage. It generally seems to work.

- can successfully live stream to other clients that can natively play HEVC content
- first play of a IPTV HEVC channel in the web app fails, but any subsequent attempt worked (since it then has a description in the stream metadata for this channel)
- 'Recording Auto Transcode' feature does convert it to H.264, which can mean the file gets bigger. This feature was about converting the recording to a format that can be natively played in a web browser, rather than making a smaller file. It still needs to be converted to H.264 for compatibility with browsers, so doing the correct thing. (only Safari based browsers do HEVC natively)

I haven’t notice it, but I haven’t done much testing with it yet.
