Hide the keyboard! Way back I had to make a rule in our house, the GBPVR computer is ONLY for GBPVR! That took care of the bulk of the PC maintenance issues and extended the time between required reboots.
I just switched to v5 on Linux after my 9yo PC on Win7 started getting a little wonky last Spring. I initially went Win10 and v4.25 on the new hardware because my wife wouldn't give up the PCH's, but I didn't get the performance improvement I was hoping for with the new hardware and finally convinced her to give Kodi/knewc a try. Still working the details out, but my knewc clients are noticeably faster. Although I guess I can't say for sure if that's a result of Linux, or v5, or perhaps doing a some reconfig from scratch.
