Quote:Since I did no channel merging, I have two guide sources: SD for the HDHR stations and XMLTV for the locast stations.

Did notice one issue...Tonight's NCIS is a season premier: locast channel 2.1 shows the green Premier tag but the SD channel 502 listing does not. Same thing on the desktop. The XMLTV guide data seems to be more accurate than the SD data. Sounds like a problem. Logs are attached.

I've been working on getting mvallevand's locast.py EXTRA device installed and running on my PC desktop. Works quite nicely except for the issue in the above quote taken from a post on the General Discussion section.

Can this issue be corrected so that the two guide sources supply the same information?

Logs are here.
Later...JohnC

You would have been better to include my response https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid550446 as it is a design choice. It is not clear what you are asking. Do you want significance like Premier on reruns like you see on XMLTV?

I was thinking of this post overnight and wonder why you wouldn't just use SD for you locast feed and then the data will not have any conflicts?

I think I may have gotten this wrong. The NCIS episode that aired Tuesday night was NOT a season premier as shown by the XMLTV listing for the locast channel 2.1. XMLTV was incorrect marking it so. And I agree with you that reruns can never "premier" or be "new."

Sorry.

It was premier last year which is why sub's logic for episode 1 handling flag's it. The issue is not all XMLTV guide data has a new or rerun flag like the locast does so is it better to lose the premier flag or not.

We are just spoiled with SD data.
