I'm trying to keep my laptop in sleep mode overnight, and I've noticed that nextPVRServer.exe (amongst other services) is waking it up. Is there anyway of running this service during the day?

Is there anyway of running this service during the day? The NextPVR service tells Windows to wake at specific times to do recordings or EPG updates. The NextPVR service allows Windows to go to sleep at other times. Please post logs and tell us a time when you think that the machine should have been asleep but NextPVR was keeping it awake ... https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help ... Thanks.

Graham....there's a problem with posting the logs. I don't currently have a dvb device attached to the laptop, as I use that on my main pc. All I can say is the service woke up the pc at 02.44, which I have got from the Windows Event Log. Maybe I should disable NextPVR from running in the background, and disable it running in the Windows StartUp menu?

The logs will exist even if there is no device attached to the laptop that is running the NextPVR service ... Press the button on Settings -> About in the NextPVR Web App and attach the zip file to a post ... Thanks.

The service takes almost no resource when idle and you can move you EPG update time to a more convenient time.
Failing that turn off the the service and you can run NextPVRServer.exe standalone on demand. It isn't worth the time explaining it but you can try it. Martin
