That would be a question for the Kodi forum since core is dealing with it, the addon and NextPVR don't change.

The delay is pvr.nextpvr specific and allows for the backend to buffer more data before playback. Typically 0 and 1 are ok, but some users have reported needing more in their environment to avoid stuttering or other issues.

I think we are talking about different parameters?  I mean the Npvr Add-on streaming options "Live TV Chunk Size" (default 64) and "Recording Chunk Size" (default 32)?

I understand the question and as I already replied I don't have any idea on how Kodi uses it and ask you to investigate it on your own.

@PRBUK I have tested updated the API and the size will magically appear with the next NextPVR and Kodi updates. It will work even if the option to read the file size directly is disabled.
