Ubuntu 16.04 Install

Hello, first time trying NextPVR.  Perhaps it is due to the fact that my Ubuntu PVR is too old, but I am receiving this error when trying to install NextPVR

Is the issue that my Ubuntu version is too old or is it that there is an issue with the current installer?

I've seen it run before on 16.04 but who knows because it is also platform specific so you didn't provide enough information

I would try again this time with

sudo dpkg i nextpvr-helper.deb

Thanks for the quick reply Martin.  I did already try this first without success.  Here is the result

Regarding your comment, "..it is also platform specific so you didn't provide enough information", I am running x86_64.  Is that all you require?

Yes, knowing it is x86_64 is what I needed. What shell are you running?

Also I am not sure if you say in the instruction that curl is required.

Don't worry about this. I'll just spin up another VM with a more current Ubuntu version. There isn't a whole lot of reason to use 16.04.

Ok I suspect your forgot curl based on the error.
