TiVo Stream 4K

Has anyone been able to get Kodi Matrix (19+) working on a TiVo Stream 4K device?

I have serious sound issues when Kodi Matrix is installed. I have been able to get Kodi Lea 18.9 working with NextPVR just fine, but not Matrix.

I don't think you provided enough information on your setup/configuration and you certainly will need Kodi debug logs on the Kodi forum.

For Kodi I prefer dedicated CE/LE devices over Android so I only tried pvr.nextpvr briefly earlier but trying it now it is looks and sounds fine @1080i AC3 with no dropped frames on my TiVo 4K.

Thanks Martin. My setup is a TiVo Stream 4K with Kodi 19.3 installed from the Play store (or 19.1 sideloaded, doesn't matter). I could get some debug logs over at the Kodi forum if it helps. I thought logcat would provide enough info.

I'll probably just stick with Lea 18.9 on the TiVo device.

Onn 4K box and Fire Stick 4k have no issues with Kodi Matrix. The Onn would even work with Kodi Nexus and NextPVR addon.

My question on the logcat is that the audio shouldn't be even going to that Dolby ms12 library, PVR is supposed to only output PCM which should be only decoded by the receiver. Have you played around with all the outputs like the DRC mode?

All I did in that logcat was to start Kodi after a fresh install. I hadn't even installed any addons yet. I tried turning off all the Dolby settings while Kodi was running but it didn't affect it in previous attempts. I saw the DRC mode setting but I'm not sure what it's for.

I'm using my TV for the world series tonight. I'll try some of those settings again and tomorrow. Maybe I can try connecting the TiVo to the TV only and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the help Martin! Finally got Kodi Matrix to work on the TS4K.

Had to adjust the Audio settings on the TV and TS4K.

Great. I read on the TiVo forum that some people are finding these at WalMart's for $15 so they probably won't be around too much longer.
