I use nextpvr once or twice a year, when my wife wants to watch olympics or new years celebrations, so I'm not interested in buying a subscription to Schedules Direct. I'd like a free solution, if there is one.

I tried using this guide, but it didn't work. The instructions are old, definitely not for Windows 10. https://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php....EPGMC2XML

I found this 7 year old post in the legacy section, but I'm using the latest Nextpvr software: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ht=zap2xml

Are there any current directions?  I'm in western USA.  Smile

I am in Chicago and use mc2xml with Zap2It. I am also on W10. The first directions you linked to actually seem accurate after a quick review. I would create an account with Zap2It and configure your channel list/favorites, then download mc2xml from here: https://web.archive.org/web/202004260039...pace.info/

Next configure your .bat file. Mine looks like below - adjust yours for your zip code and any other tweaks you may want.

E:\TVGuides\Zap2It-mc2xml

mc2xml -1 -c us -g 60503 -d 336 -a -A -o Zap2Guide.xml

Hope this helps!

I set this up a few years back so my recollection of al the How's and Why's is a little rusty

Check this new thread out... it's about using TitanTV's guide to schedule recordings, and page 5 is how you can do it without needing any other EPG service like Schedules Direct or doing something with mc2xml. Great for one-off tv shows like New Years, various sporting events, and the Olympics.

You can always record any channel and time in NextPVR by setting those things manually, but this lets you do it with a couple button presses from TitanTV's listings.
