I realize that I'm likely screwed; just confirming.
I recently clean upgraded to v5 (5.2.6 220206) from v4 (and I do mean clean). I use an XML enhancer to modify movie titles in the EPG. For example, I don't see "Wayne's World 2" in my EPG; I see "Wayne's World (1992) [PG-13] [2.5*] (1992)". Not so important for that rather unique movie, but for unknown movies or movies like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" or "The Taking of Pelham 123", it makes a big difference that I'm completely enamored with. I can see a lot about the movie in the EPG grid without even selecting it.
For a long time in v4, the title modifications did not affect the downloading of artwork files for movies. That all changed at some point late last year, very likely related to the nebulous SchedulesDirect changes mentioned by sub in this thread.
Now in v5, all I get for movies with those enhanced titles is the generic "starry forest sky" art in both the web client and the regular Windows client.
I have the settings configured to use SchedulesDirect, themoviedb.com, and tvmaze.com. Manually searching themoviedb.com for "Wayne's World 2" (of course) returns art, but "Wayne's World (1992) [PG-13] [2.5*] (1992)" returns nothing (to be expected).
I really enjoy the additional information in the title, and if it borks the ability to download art for those movies, I guess that's a fair tradeoff.
Any comments? Funny how it used to work fine before SchedulesDirect did their thing...
