Cannot watch live TV, NPVR freezes

I have been having some problems with NPVR lately. Mostly when rewinding or forwarding live TV, it usually, but not always freezes when trying to resume playing. Also when playing live TV or a recording NPVR will also freeze. If waiting long enough the program will close. I had been right clicking and closing then reopening NPVR. But today I discovered I can just rick click and stop the recording (do not know if this works on live TV).

In that video it looks looked like no video from live tv? Are you sure your antenna is connected? If you try to scan on a device (but don't save the results), does it find channels?

I was getting video before upgrading to the latest version.

I have also been seeing commercials about channels being added, so I did scan to see what new ones I would get. I didn't see any new ones that I was interested in so I did not save them.

I am able to record TV, I am just unable to watch Live TV. I recorded a couple shows last night, how ever when I try to watch them NPVR crashes. I am able to play them in VLC just fine. I made a video of this as well, it can be viewed here.

I suspect this is a combination of two things.

As Martin suggested, it'd be worth supplying a recording, so we can try playing it here.

I have also been seeing commercials about channels being added, so I did scan to see what new ones I would get. I didn't see any new ones that I was interested in so I did not save them.

I'm guessing this is a factor. ie, if they've moved channels around, just scanning could be enough to fix the tuning on that one device, and the second device might be point to old tuning information. Live TV and Recording will be selecting different tuners. You might be worth going into the second tuner, deleting all the channels. Go into the first tuner, and scan and ok. Then go back into the second tuner, and accept the offer to copy the tuning info from the other tuner.
