Usually with ATSC channels there is a table called the "TVCT" terrestrial virtual channel table, which contains the names of the channels. In this particular file, it instead has a similar "CVCT" cable virtual channel table, which as the name suggests, is usually used with cable TV.
I've seen this before, and NextPVR on Windows handles it. The situation is a little different on Linux, where libdvbv5 takes care of a lot of this stuff.
I'll load it up with my signal generator though, and check if there is any easy way to get it finding the channel names.
Bumping this thread -- recently a re-pack of several local channels occurred, so I re-scanned, which detected only 8 channels instead of the usual 40+ channels. (A scan using Kaffeine detects a total of 47 channels.)
Using Mint 19.3 / Cinnamon 4.4.8 here. Hoping that the attached log files will be of benefit.
