Error installing NextPVR on Linux Mint 21

NextPVR worked fine on Mint 20.3. 
Upgraded to Mint 21 (Vanessa).
HDHomeRun Config GUI works fine.  Video will play to VLC.
When I try to install NextPVR for browser I get this error:

   sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends

Based on that error I'm not sure where to go.  I tried a workaround to get libssl1 installed, but that failed.

Any advice appreciated.

I did try it. I retried the NextPVR installation and got the same error message.

Am I just hosed because of this?

Any suggestions for alternative interfaces?

Sub will be releasing a netcore 6 version of NextPVR fairly soon.

After you added the previous version PPA did you run apt update to load the list?

Ok since impish is not supported any longer remove that PPA and add focal-security instead.

It's a hack at best until v6 NextPVR is out and I would recommend removing that ppa now that you have that libssl version. installed. Glad it worked though.

Martin, Just saw this:

dot net 6 now for Ubuntu 22.04

Yes but that won't help v5 because it uses 3.1. Sub has migrated to netcore 6 and it is running well but it needs a few more things before release
