I have been running NextPVR server under LibreElec for almost a year without any problems. However over the last month or so I have been having EPG problems. Most channels use Freesat EPG but some use DVB-T EPG. Over recent weeks it has been getting worse until now I have no EPG after 17:30 om Wednesday. An EPG update now immediately fails.

Under Guide menu option EPG Sources there is DVB/ATSC and in the Setup box as well as the three DVB-T frequencies there is 10818 which is the transponder where BBC Four is located on Freesat. This channel has had no EPG for some weeks  either Freesat or DVB. I dont know if its a cause or effect of the EPG problems!

To test things I just built a LibreElec test server and installed NextPVR but there is no response from the web page on port 8866.

Enclosed is Logs after EPG update on the main server!

Chris

Yes there is a issue getting Freesat. First can you see if turning of strict EPG mapping helps. If not can you send your database?

Thanks Martin. Enclosed is database file. Unfortunately this has taken me about 3 hours as Windows and Linux see different things on several USB drives. Had to do a full format on the drive to get rid of the data which Linux saw!!
Will try an install of Linux on a spare server to see how that works.

Was your USB driver NTFS? If so remember never try to share an NTFS drive. If it was FAT you shouldn't have any problems. Maybe try sftp next time.

Can I see the logs with the strict ts processing is disabled too just to make sure the issue is the same.

On my LibreElec server the USB drives all showed content and title on the drive different different to what Windows shows. Linux could not delete the files saying they could not be found! A full Windows format cured the problem!
Sorry but I dont understand the second line! Is it to do with the EPG problem or the USB problem I added?

Earlier I asked you to turn off the optional strict ts processing that you enabled recently before sending the database, but I haven't seen the logs with them disabled to see if the behaviour is different. It is here.

Sorry Martin my memory is not what it was!! I missed the bit about "strict ts processing" but I have no idea where to find it in NextPVR!

It's not the default so you found it once. It is on Settings->Guide top row click the Gear on the right.

Also there is some thing old about your configuration for BBC Four. You have one DVB-S2 OTA then 2 merged DVB-T OTA and then 2 other merged DVB-SS2 OTA. Maybe consider merging them and setting them to Freesat.

OK I have it. I opened it several times trying to delete that Freesat frequency but it kept coming back. I just selected it by default!
BBC FOUR EPG has been a problem for some weeks both Freesat and terrestrial. I cannot see any way to get rid of that Freesat frequency from the DVB/ATSC EPG settings.
I have just installed Lubuntu on a spare PC and will install NextPVR tomorrow as a test but would like to keep with LibreElec if I can as its such a simple interface!
I will continue in the morning.
Thanks Chris

Just merge the 3 together and mark as Freesat to see if it works now on LE and send the logs. I confirmed with your database use strict is not working with your SAT>IP file, I get the same error you have.

It won't have anything to do with LE unless it is something new in 7.0.4 but you say your problem go back a while so 7.0.4. is new. Perhaps related to how you have tried to change BBC Four.
