Do you have Kodi? You might be able to modify the channel number.

If you manually merge them you might also be able to remove the non working channels after the merge.

Quote:Chose the show and use "record series". It has absolutely no effect, and show does not turn red like it will be recorded, nor does it show up in the scheduled recordings
It's worth noting that creating a new 'record series' only applies to future airings of a show. ie, if you do it on a show that is already part way through, it won't record that episode - it'll schedule future episodes that match.

I'm doing this on future airings, either from the search box, or from the guide, neither works.

Martin, I actually edited the XML for both the Extra and the original TV listings I'm using by-hand, and I'm using local files for both, can I just fix it in the XML myself, or is there some magic that Kodi does to change the channel number? I didn't number the extra, it just got channel 97, which I guess is the next highest number after all my regular channels.

Worth noting that I also removed the original channel 7 from my channel lineup by going into "Channels" and deleting it; will that cause issues?

OK, I think I fixed it....suddenly, I remembered what I did when this happened before. So, in order to fix the issue I did the following (not sure if it was all necessary)

  1. remove all the series recordings for that channel from the recurring recordings (I already did this before, so not sure if it is relevant)
  2. remove all the scheduled recordings for this channel (also already did and not sure if it is relevant)
  3. Went to the IPTV device in "devices" and completely removed everything using the delete button, then re-imported everything by clicking "Import using M3U" and typing in the details for the m3u8 XML and EPG again (this part is new, and I think it is what fixes the issue)
  4. Update EPG so I get the schecule back again.

After doing this, I can now schedule recurring recordings for those shows which I already had recurring recordings on the old channel 7, and they are correctly scheduled.

I'm writing this here partly so I can remember how to fix this next time it happens, that way I can come back and look at my old posts and find this.

Thanks again guys.
