I have been using UIDroid with my NPVR server and love it. Now I'm wondering if I can make my server headless and access it with the Firestick browser to make changes to server settings. I tried putting the IP address from the Linux installation instructions into the silk browser but it just does a online search. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better browser available?

NextPVR server configuration by design is already headless, there is no fat client and it doesn't have a GUI. Instead use the same IP and port you use with uidroid. You might need http://ip:port since many browsers default to https and don't try http. Make sure JavaScript is enabled too. Sometimes adding /index.html has helped on some browser but I haven't seen that for a while.

If you have PC's on your network, it doesn't make much sense to me to go through the trouble of using on-screen keyboards etc.

I'm hoping to be able to log into settings  on my server. I have a mouse and keyboard on my firestick. But when I entered the IP address from the installation instructions into the silk browser it just gave me search results. What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure if I put http:// before it or not.

Why not try with the http: in front and it doesn't work post your zipped NextPVR logs and maybe someone can help. I don't understand what you mean by the IP from the installation instructions? You want the real IP. You can see that in the uidroid settings if you don't know how to find it by hitting long DPAD Centre.
