No sound during Live TV

Ok once I connected the soundcard out to the sound in of my TV I got sound during playback of my recordings (and net radio, etc...) but I get no sound while trying to view live TV.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem intermittantly. If I switch to another channel and then back again enough times eventually the sound works on the channel it originally didn't. Everything works fine with the Hauppauge programs...

Would also appreciate any suggestions...

yeah i tried switching back and forth until my fingers were sore ; ) and no go. NP with play back of recordings.

The only way I'm able to get sound on LiveTV (with live preview) is by disabling de-interlacing. None of the decoders i've tried with encoder pass-through work with the sound stream unless I'm timeshifting

I have had the same problem. Solved it by changing my Playback Audio renderer from System Default to realtek AC97 Audio i.e. my mobo onboard audio codec. Left the Video and Audio codecs at system default. May not work for you, but may help.

Can you comment on what hardware you are using?

I have a similar problem with the Hauppauge USB2 PVR, which sub will be fixing in the next release.

thanks for the ideas - tried all available renderer settings and still have intermittant no-audio - still mainly on channels 2 & 3 - any other thoughts?
