Probably not, at least not if you have one of the "big" cable providers (Comcast, Spectrum). What the US providers do isn't really IPTV. It's really a web based service where their app uses a bunch of private APIs. US cable providers don't want you to use anything outside their walled garden. With the demise of cablecars, you have to use their DVRs or their app (except *maybe* for a few "basic cable" channels like the broadcast stations).
If you have a tiny little cable company, maybe they're doing something different, but probably not.
