What can be done about the elecard logo in the recordings (other than purchasing)

I've been using wintv (I use the pvr-250) for awhile even though I knew it was a horrible program. I finally had so time to install gbpvr and I love the way it performs. So what can be done about using a different mpeg decoder and is there a tutorial on how to change it?

You get the elecard logo if you're using an evaluation of the elecard MPEG2 decoder. Options include purchasing a license for the elecard decoder, or using a different MPEG2 decoder. Check the Video Decoder setting on the playback tab of the config app, you may already have some other decoders available on your machine.

I have cyberlink and intervideo...but still get the elecard logo when selecting them

So Uninstalled the elecard decoder and I still get the logo

I think the directshow filter is still on the system.

Easy Way.
Look for this app called Codec Sniper. Use that to delete the Elecard decoder.

Hard Way,
Find the file mpgdec.ax on your system.
Go to the command prompt Start --> Run --> cmd
To uninstall the directshow filter: regsvr32 -u c:\whateverdirectory\mpgdec.ax
Some type of message should be displayed that says you successfully unregistered the file.
