one channel cannot be found on HDHomerun

I am running NextPVR Version: 7.0.2.250621
Silicon Dust HDHomerun HDHR3-US  (dual channel ATSC 1.0)

There is one channel that I cannot seem to get on my HDHomeRun, that my TVs seem to have no problem with.

I updated NextPVR and reloaded HDHomeRun firmware, rescanned channels and still can't get one channel that my TVs (including a 15 year old TV can easily receive.  It does not show up at all on channel scan.

The channel is "MATRIX Midwest"   "MyN"  Virtual: 32.1  Actual:24
My zipcode is 63122

I'm at a loss.  Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Have you gone to a Windows machine and done a rescan to update the channel list? They don't provide a Linux utility to do this.

So I looked at Windows and indeed I was able to get all channels.
Back to linux, same issue.
I noticed that all the "devices" were not showing in Linux.
Specifically the ATSC entries for the tuners.

I tried to rescan for devices on linux...but no joy.
Still stumped.

Sorry I was clear enough. I didn't mean a NextPVR recan I meant a rescan with the Silicondust utilty

Be very careful with a rescan on an HDHR device it can easily create duplicates. Sub is looking at solutions to this .

So NextPVR works perfectly in Windows.
I tried the HDHomerun config gui in linux...and I can see the channel that I am missing.
However, HDHomerun config gui "rescan" button does not seem to do anything (again in linux)

It seems that Devices in NextPVR in Windows shows ATSC tuner, but Devices in NextPVR in Linux does not.

So are you saying rescan in *Windows* config gui will make a difference when I go back to Linux?
Windows seems just fine... Linux is my issue.

The only way to get channels into Linux is by running the Windows Silicondust scan on your legacy device

Can you run http://192.168.173.120/discover.json and click on the link to the lineup JSON. That is based on some old log info with the IP for your HDHR if the IP has changed use that.

If that shows the missing channel and the NextPVR scan doesn't then PM me that URL. (the token dies in about 12 hours)

I think that did it.  I don't think I would have tried that approach in 999,999 years.  So thank you very much.

Happy, but still wondering...why did devices in Windows show ATSC...but devices in Linux did not.
Oh well, once again you saved my proverbial bacon.

The generic ATSC scan for digital tuners on Windows uses BDA drivers and Silicondust wrote special driver for the HDHR. The generic Linux scan doesn't support the HDHR legacy protocol. Rather that writing a custom scanner sub decided to just interface to the scanners the Silicondust have already written. This is much faster anyway.
