No recording after Windows 11 Update

I was also able to run WinTV (Hauppauge product) and it grabbed the Hauppauge Quad USB tuner just fine and started playing TV. No issues.
This seems to be related to NextPVR and the latest Win11 update that I installed this morning.
I've tried looking at the devices and sometimes NextPVR is finding all four of the quad tuners. Sometimes they don't show up in the Web app but I can rescan and then they are there. Whether the tuners show up or not, the result is the same... NextPVR will not record nor will it use a tuner for live TV. It sees the tuners, knows they are there, but can't use them.

I too get the greyed out box (that should be a green N). That seems to mean that NextPVR is not running or not running correctly. I can right click on the greyed out box and select one of the apps (web or desktop) and that brings NextPVR to life. It still won't play or record but the apps seem to run so I can access settings, etc.

It's not Hauppauge related, I see the same thing with any BDA device. There is something blocking connections to the DeviceHostWindows process.

OK I got it working again after reading through that link. First I paused Windows updates and then

wusa /uninstall /kb:5066835
restart
wusa /uninstall /kb:5065789
restart

I tried after just uninstalling 5066835 and it still didn't work

I tried first installing 5066835. No success.

Then I uninstalled 5065789 and NextPVR started working again. I don't know whether you have to install both or just the 5065789 will do it. In any case, it appears we have at least a temporary fix to the problem.

Now, I suspect it will take an update to NextPVR software to have a more durable solution. I would really like to keep my Win11 Pro software up to date without breaking my TV recording capability. As of now, I guess I'll have to disable Window 11 updates.
