At the risk of proliferating topics, I have a question about setting CC in NextPVR. (Mods: If there's an existing topic where this question would go better, please do move it there, thank you.)
There are three ways to try to enable or disable closed captioning in the NPVR UI client:
On my main test PC, however, none of these is managing to actually set closed captioning: the subtitles never start appearing onscreen, and the next time I bring up the CC selection menu, "Disabled" shows as the current setting. I figure I must be missing a step or a setting somewhere.
@mvallevand has suggested using yauiclient.exe instead if CC is important to us and I may ultimately do that, but I'm curious as to what if anything can be done for this on NextPVR.exe. Maybe modifying some line(s) in config.xml?

- Mouse: Right-click on the NextPVR.exe UI window, then select Subtitle Stream from the context menu, and then select Closed Captions
- Media Center Remote: Press the More Info button, then the Down arrow button to highlight the controls at the bottom of the overlay, then the Left arrow button to reach the hamburger menu, next click the OK button, and finally select Change Subtitle Stream
- Keyboard: Press Ctrl-X to display the Select Subtitle Stream menu
